Welcome to Windsor, New Jersey
(Updated May 8th, 2007)
Recent News:
The Updike and Hermann farms have been preserved! Thank you to everyone who attended the planning board meetings and other functions and helped show the township and county that we are serious about preserving our village.
We have received a Resolution from the Mercer County Freeholders supporting our efforts to remove the (already) illegal truck traffic from Church Street. After our last letter writing effort, and with the help of state and local officials, we saw a large reduction in this truck traffic. Unfortunately, over the past few months it has again escalated and we are renewing our efforts.
Windsor, NJ, located in Mercer County, is the town time forgot. Established in the 1830's along the old Camden and Amboy railroad, this historic community of about 50 homes stands virtually unchanged for over 100 years. This site has been established to help preserve and share the interesting history of this isolated town which stands alone in the center of the most populated state in the country.
So, why is our site "JustWindsor"? Well, all the locals know East Windsor and West Windsor, which are large townships in the area. But no one knows about Windsor - no East, no West, JUST WINDSOR.
We will be adding much more to this site in the coming months. Please check back every so often and see what's new.

Our goals are to address situations unique to Windsor Village in three categories: Social, Civic and Outreach.
Social: Bimonthly pot luck dinners and seasonal gatherings.
Civic: Addressing the relationship between our village and the greater surrounding township. At present we are activally persuing problems of Traffic, Noise, and Drainage.
Outreach: Developing a village phone directory. Submissions may be made via this website to Laura Friedman.
